Busy Busy Day
Today was a big day for Macy- she had a lot of visitors. My Dad, Derek, and Brittany came out yesterday to see her, the Ross', Grandma Benich, Grandma Bochat, Aunt Janet, and Uncle Brian and Aunt Jane and their family were all here. Needless to say after everyone left we were all tuckered out. Here are some pictures of the day!
Here is Macy's cousin Kaylee
This is 4 generations...Grandpa and Macy
Here is our first family picture :) -Well, the first one I'm actually awake for :) Aww- It's our family :)

Today Macy got her first sponge bath! She didn't like the cold part (who does?!) but she liked when we would squeeze the warm water on her :)
While I was in the shower my Mom had a little photo-shoot with Macy- I think they turned out just too adorable.
Great Grandma Bochat came to see Macy on Friday and Saturday nights... she is staying in Snowflake with a friend of hers and we really enjoyed having her here!
**Family picture to come :)

First Shopping Trip!
Macy had her first doctors appointment yesterday and everything is just peachy! She's lost a little weight, which is common- she now weighs 6 lbs 4 oz... we need to fatter her up! She's a little jaundice, but not bad at all. Yesterday while we were getting her changed to go I kept putting different outfits out and they were all HUGE on her, like all of her fit into the body and that's pretty much it! lol. Then I realized they were all 0-3 months and the one that fit her was a newborn outfit. I started looking around for more newborn outfits (not to keep trying things on, to see if I had any) and to my surprise, and my moms, we had neglected to get any newborn clothes! We were going into Show Low for her appointment anyway so we ended up getting her some more clothes. I know she is going to grow fast, but she still needs something to wear while she's tiny! lol. Here is a picture of her on her "first outting" at the baby book would call it, and her "first shopping trip!" as me and my mom would say. :)When you look at her bow when it's not on her head it looks little, then you stick it on her head and it gobbles it up! She's so cute!
Zeus is doing very well with our new addition. The first night we were going to bed and he was a little confused on where to go. He usually jumps on the bed and waits for us to open the covers then crawls right under, goes to the end of the bed, and goes to sleep. But our first night he didn't really know what to do so we had to kinda throw him under there to let him know that was still his place :) I don't know why he was so confused, Macy isn't sleeping on our bed so it's not like there was something foreign in it, just beside it :) She let out a little scream to let me know she was hungry and he kinda looked her her like "What's that?!" but he's been such a good dog, we'll keep them both :)

Babay Pics Day 2
15 hours later...
Well I guess Kyle posted the pictures of the day yesterday :) Not in my best looking moments, but what do you expect?!
At about 9 or 10 on the 12th I started having contractions, not hard, but definitely not braxton hicks. We had a doctors appointment that night and I kept teasing Kyle that the doctor was just going to tell us to stay there to have the baby- secretly is wasn't really teasing it was my extreme hope ha ha. Dr said that I was at 3 centimeters and about 50% effaced (I know I know, last time the nurse prac said I was like 75% but whatever, so unimportant now) and that if I sneezed wrong I could have the baby but he wanted to schedule an induction on Monday (like this coming Monday) at 8 o'clock so that we could have an end in sight. Little did we know Macy had plans of her own :) I went to class that night and was still having the contractions... called my mom and told her that she might want to consider coming that night because I knew I was going to have her sometime this week. She got here at around 11 that night and at 2 we decided we should go to the hospital. My contractions were around 4-6 minutes...
Off we went to the hospital and they hooked me all up... I don't really know the times of everything but by the time we got to the hospital I was at the 4, so I knew I was progressing. I went from a 4 to an 8 in about 7 hours somewhere in there I got my epidural... such an amazing thing when it works... so at like 10ish and I was stuck at an 8 for like 5 hours, so until about 3. Somewhere in those 5 hours the machine to my epidural stopped working and I started feeling everything, I was in tears and decided I was glad that I had decided to get an epidural because it just really really hurt ha ha. I was finally dilated completely but she hadn't dropped yet, so they kept rotating me from side to side with a ball between my legs hoping to let her snuggle down a little bit.
At 5 I started pushing... they turned the epidural off so that I could start to feel myself pushing and where I needed to push, at about 6 I was back in tears- not because the contractions but because my right leg was hurting so bad. The doctor said he thinks muscle spasms, basically really bad charlie horses... who would have thought that it wasn't pushing that was making me cry, it was charlie horses. Dr. Plowman asked us if we would like to use the vacuum to help me out, I was so drained I told him to ask Kyle- he would make the decision... he let us know the pros and cons and then left us to decide. Kyle pushed the button for them to come back in and he came right in with the vacuum and nurses started flooding in- I pushed and he pulled for about 3 contractions... and to be honest everything after that is a bit fuzzy :) I know they told me to just push whenever I wanted to get her the rest of the way and I just kept going I wanted to be done and my leg hurt, they popped her on my tummy and gave me something to help my leg and I was out. Kyle said I was pretty funny and loopy, but I don't remember much about it. She was born at 6:12 and I think I held her for the first time at around 8, that's when the meds wore off. I guess when the doctor left her apologized to Kyle for giving me that because I was out, but he knew that I was in a lot of pain so there ya go :)
She is wonderful! She is so cute and so alert. Her blood sugar was really low through out the night so they kept giving her sugar water and some formula to bring it up, around 6 this morning they let me know that she has been keeping it up so that's really good. Other than that we are happy and healthy, sore, but happy :) She is getting her hearing test right now so I figured while I had a few minutes I should blog what I remember, because I don't even feel like I remember a lot ha ha. We'll post some picture later today :)
Sorry if there are a lot of typos, I don't feel like going back and rereading it right now :)

Teacher's Big Screen
Kyle took a picture of my at the doctor's office, but I decided that this should be our featured picture of the day. This is the teacher version of a 65 inch TV. Not only can it be 65 inch, but everything in between :) Kyle found a way to hang it from our door in our bedroom... I asked him what we were going to do when I had to pee at 2 in the morning and he assures me he'll take it down before we go to bed. He is pretty proud of himself though, way to go babe! Pretty good for a total of $20!
Baby Update: I'm 3 cm (which is pretty good when 4 days ago I was just a finger tip) and I've had contractions all day long, that definitely don't just feel "uncomfortable" anymore. I can still walk and talk through them... a little dance move or two while I'm walking and having one.. like a little ooo jump and a little leg shake :). Hopefully it keeps going and we'll have some baby pictures in the next few days :) BUT it probably won't so don't keep your hopes up :)

The Last Couple Day's Pics
In what we hope was our last Friday night without being parents we decided to go spend a night on the town. The ideas were endless of what we would do... we could go bowling...umm... see a movie at the Roxy... ummmm... Dennys.... hmm.. what else?... I can't really bowl very good in my 9 month pregnant body and we were 20 minutes too late to see a movie so... We picked Dennys :) Pretty exciting huh? And since we had already eaten dinner, Kyle got some soup because he wasn't feeling good, and I got some apple crisp for dessert... a whole hour later we were back at home :) Exciting huh? It's official, we're practically already parents.
Saturday morning was the Holbrook School District Surplus Sale and Kyle's mom wanted to see if there was a computer monitor for her computer so off we went :) Here is what we ended up with... 4 projectors, 2 desks, 4 chairs, like 10 books, a tape player, 2 screens, 1 microscope, and a keyboard that was still in the box! We were standing in line to check out and the tape player was sitting on one of the desks and a lady walked up and looked at it in aw and was like "Wow- that's really neat! What is it?!" I was undecided whether she was kidding or serious and I told her "It's a tapeplayer... there's tons over there..." "WOW! How much is it?!" "Umm.. a dollar..." "Oh wow!" lol. That was kinda funny. They ended up selling all the stuff to us for $80.. which is awesome when each projector was supposed to be 15. What do we need with 4 projectors? Nothing- we bought one and we had a list of things that other random people wanted :)
We came home and guess who came to our door?... Try again... Okay okay, A GIRL SCOUT!! That's right ladies and gentleman, it's girl scout cookies season!!! In February I will be a proud owner of a box of thin mints :) It just stinks that now I have to wait a whole like 3 weeks! That's was our exciting weekend :)
OH! And to answer the most asked question in 2009... Nope, no baby yet.

Perfect Depiction :)
I don't know if this can count as our picture of the day or not, but I found it while I was blog hopping and figured all the rest of you pregnant ladies, or ladies that have ever been pregnant, could appreciate it :) If you can't read the caption it says... "I can't sleep, breathe, or walk. How am I supposed to find the energy to glow?"

Goals
Today in one of my choirs we had a goal setting day and this is what one of my students put on the board as we set our goals. We came up with the goals together as a class so that we were all on board from the start. Here is what we came up with. Most of you probably won't appreciate it as much as I do.
Notice the first goal... Have Fun :) haha
So I had to define FUN :)
Which led to one of my favorite quotes from my Dad.

The Next Goal... Respect
Who say's the pianist never gets any respect :) I'm so proud of my students.

That's right respect all around :)
I always tell my students that if they don't like a song then to keep it to themselves because they don't have the right to take away permission for someone else to like it.

Not sure they quite got the right message on this one.
I tried to explain how singers are actors too.
