My MacBook

About two weeks ago my computer starting acting really funny, it was running a little slower then usual and the battery would do weird things. The little icon in the top would tell me I had like 20 hours of battery life left (I've NEVER had 20 hours for my computer, I think the most was like 4) and then it would suddenly die. I would plug my computer into the charger and it would kick it into sleep mode. Just weird things. About a week ago it died and just wouldn't turn back on. Bummer dude. We were going to the valley this weekend so I just figured I'd take it into Apple and they can do some diagnostics and tell me what was wrong with it. I couldn't remember exactly when I bought it, and from what I could remember I thought it was about 4 years old which means out of warranty.

Kyle made my computer an appointment for when we'd be in the valley. We took it in and they couldn't really figure out what was wrong. They took it apart and said it looked good, a little dusty, but nothing they didn't expect. He said there could be two things wrong- the magboard, which is the part that tells the computer a power source is connected, or the logic board. The magboard would be $56 to fix, and the logic board would be between $400-$500, and my computer was out of warranty (which I figured). Ouch Charlie. I told them to go ahead and try the magboard (if it didn't work they wouldn't charge me) and if that didn't work I'd just pick my computer up and I just won't have a computer that turns on (don't really just have $400).

A couple hours later we were driving to my parents house and I was looking at my little repair report, and it said I purchased my computer May 9, 2009. I have Apple Care, which means I should be under warranty right now- it extends the warranty to 3 years- which would mean I'm covered for another 2 weeks. I called Apple and they said there wasn't any record I had Apple Care, and since I bought the computer from Best Buy and not them I needed to get my receipt. Well, I live 3 hours away and can't just go home. I called my awesome MIL and asked her to go to my house and see if she could find the receipt. After thinking about it a little more, I remember getting a package in the mail with an Apple Care box, but because this was almost 3 year ago I didn't really remember if that was for MY computer or not. To top that off, I did some Spring cleaning about 2 months ago and I remember picking up that specific Apple Care box and thinking "Why do I keep stuff like this?!" and threw it away... THIS IS WHY!! I need that box!! Well, since I threw away my proof I didn't really have anything to go on.  I called Apple (for like the 3rd time) and asked if there was any way we could figure out of there was Apple Care purchased that never got registered with a computer. They looked under my stuff, nothing. Just a computer. I gave them Kyle's e-mail, and the guy said it would take him a few minutes to go through all our purchased (songs, apps, anything we bought with that e-mail was on there). Go for it, so I sat and waited some more. He got back on the phone and said "Of course, it was on the LAST page, but there IS in fact Apple Care that isn't registered to anything, and it expires May 9, 2012" HALLELUJAH!  I was ECSTATIC, I think I even told him he was my favorite person today. He registered the Apple Care to my computer, and now I get a fixed computer. Yay.

I can't tell you how many times I asked Heavenly Father for my computer to just turn on, to just work. I can't afford another one, and it's something that was just mine. Not Kyle's. Not Macy's. Not London's. It was mine. I don't have a lot of things that I don't share. It may sound selfish, but I liked having something that was mine. Heavenly Father definitely answers prayers, and I definitely had to do my detective work to figure everything out, but I just had a feeling that my computer should be covered. It was definitely the Holy Ghost telling me to keep going, keep calling, keep asking them to look different things up, and it worked.

I. Am. So. Happy. :)

Easter in Vegas

My cousin Jenni recently got married on March 30th to the awesome Josh Hansen (congrats guys!!) We weren't able to make it to their actual wedding that weekend in Utah, but we were able to meet up with them the next weekend in Las Vegas for their reception. It was kind of a quick trip to Vegas but we had lots of fun anyway. We left Holbrook on Friday morning and took our time getting up there. We stopped in Flagstaff for fuel and stopped by Best Buy and then headed to Kingman. We ate at Panda Express and then went to Ross to get some sippy cups. We forgot ours and I don't trust London as someone else's house with a drink in anything but a spill proof cup :) We made our very first purchase for Baby Boy and got him a little outfit and some PJ's. We have about 3 months left till he makes his appearance so I guess it's about time we get started in preparing a wardrobe for him!
We got to Vegas in mid-afternoon and spent the night having fun with the family.

Saturday my parents came up and we hung out at the Winns house until it was time for the reception. My Aunt Steph and Uncle David hired someone to do all the decorating so it was a pretty chillaxed day. They asked Kyle to DJ for them so we got there a little early to set up all the sound equipment and let the girls run around.

I absolutely love this picture of London, she has the cutest little smile.
Kyle and his two little girls.

This is a typical view of Macy and London. Macy wandering around looking for something to do and London following her. Everything Macy does, London does.
 My Mommy and Me :)
I'm awful and didn't get a picture of the beautiful couple, but Jenni looked amazing!!

Sunday (Easter) we ate breakfast with the Winns and then headed back to Arizona. Kyle had never stopped at the Hoover Dam before, and they finished construction on the ENORMOUS bridge over it, so we stopped and did a little sight seeing.

This is Macy, Kyle, and London standing on the bridge.
London and Macy checking out how far up we were. While we were walking across the bridge Macy kept saying "I want to see the bridge..." and we had a hard time explaining to her that we were ON the bridge.

That's a BIG bridge!

We hopped back in the car and made it to Kingman and decided to stop and get some lunch. It was about 1 o'clock and I was HUNGRY. We wanted to stop at In-N-Out but it was closed for Easter Sunday (Good for them, but man I'm still craving a double-double, animal style, cut in half, with chili's on the side) and decided to eat at The Golden Corral instead. It was SUPER good and I decided that a buffet really is the best place to take little kids to eat. I didn't have to worry about ordering the wrong thing, if they didn't like what I gave them I just went and found something else. Awesome.

Since it was Easter Macy kept asking to go for a Easter Egg Hunt. I had gotten all their Easter Basket stuff in Vegas and I picked up some plastic eggs and candy to go inside, but there wasn't really time that morning to do it. We decided to wait until we got to Kyle's Mom's and enjoy some of the Easter festivities with her.
Macy knew exactly what to do and wasted no time in collecting as many eggs as she could find.
London wasn't really sure what they were doing, but she knew Macy was excited about something so like a good little sister she just followed Macy.
All Marie's apple trees were in bloom- it was such a pretty day outside.

London decided to ditch the Safeway bag and just use her hands. She'd pick one up, another would fall, she'd pick it up again, and so on until we got her to use her bag again.

We had a very successful Easter Holiday. :)

Favorite Part of Pregnancy

When people used to ask me my favorite part of pregnancy, I never really knew what to tell them.

I mean, I like feeling baby move inside my tummy, but I'm not the women that really misses that after the baby is born. I'm just too excited to be able to breathe again and lay on my belly to miss the kicking.

I always kind of felt like being pregnant was just a way to get to my favorite part- the baby!

Today, I learned my favorite part.
I love to take baths, and when I'm pregnant I can see the baby move all around and my belly move in all directions.  A little poke here, a poke there. With this little guy, it happened for the first time today and I was in awe. Just watching my belly be all distorted depending on where and how he was positioned was just so cool to me. It's really a little person in there. Kyle probably gets annoyed sometimes when I take a bath, because when my belly starts moving I yell his name and make him wait to see the little wave in my tummy. I always get the same "yeah- that's cool.... ok bye" but I think it's so fascinating!
Definitely my favorite part of pregnancy.
