Macy's 1st Christmas

Macy had a very great first Christmas. Santa brought her a horse on wheels and a stocking full of fun goodies. We spent the week before Christmas at my parents house and then the morning of the 25th we headed back to Holbrook for the Annual Christmas Party held at Brian and Janes house. My Dad worked Christmas so we had our family Christmas on the 23rd and 24th.
This following is stolen from my Mom's blog :)

This year we had all the kids at our house for Christmas, well the 23rd and 24th mostly, Alli and Kyle were here the 19th to the am of 25th. Bobby started back to work on the 25 :/ sad. Someone has to make that electricity we use for cookin' all that food, and lightin' all those trees and lights! It was fun having the little girls for their first Christmas. My favorite part is having the family all together. Watching the little kids & the big kids play. The young men and women from our ward came and caroled for us, and brought yummy goodies that were a perfect addition to our Christmas eve.

Halloween

This past week I spent at my parents house. I am selling bows for the first time at a Holiday Fair here in Holbrook and I needed to get ribbon and start my inventory AND it was Stormy's bridal shower on Halloween!! I'm so excited for Stormy and Spenser!! The shower went really well and I think everyone had a lot of fun.
Here is Macy in her Halloween outfit, I'm probably biased but I think she makes the cutest little Halloween baby! :) (Her shirt says I'm so cute its SCARY!) :) We (my mom, me, and Jolene) came up with her outfit the day before... matching bow, bracelet, shirt, paci holder, and socks!

Here is us at the Bridal Shower. I love these girls! I love that we can get together again after two years and it's like we were hanging out yesterday. Being together really brought back all the fun memories and reminded me how much fun we all had together.

That night Chris and Kati and crew came over and we went to the neighborhood Trunk or Treat and stayed up till about 1 talking and laughing. I love them! The little boys were pirates and Macy and Brelee made the cutest little bugs- Macy is a labybug and Miss Brelee is a Bee. She won a costume contest for their HOA from costumes ages 0-3. Good Job Brelee!! (I mean Kati! lol)

I think Macy had a fun first Halloween. Between the bridal shower and costumes we were kept busy!

The Pumpkin Patch

The other weekend, can't remember when lol, when went to the pumpkin patch in Snowflake with Lisa and Loren. It was really fun, and really cheap! For some reason I thought you spent more when you went to a patch but not the case at all! It was fun getting to pick the pumpkin and having so many to chose from.

Odds and Ends.

Sunday I made chocolate chip cookies and Macy got a hold of one. I tried to take it away and she kept moving her hand, apparently she didn't like that idea, but I don't really like it when someone tries to take my cookies either!
I was going through Macy's clothes today. Taking out the 3-6 month clothes and putting in only 6-9 and some of the smaller 12 month clothes in the dresser. We played dress-up :)

After a long morning I decided we need to get out of the house. We went to the park across the street for Macy's FIRST time in a swing. She loved it.
Macy has jumped on the bandwagon. Her new favorite thing to do is dump the dog food and play in the water, sometimes dumping that too.

A few weeks ago we joined Kyle in the Band Festival. (Notice the empty stands :) Here is Macy waiting for Dad. It was kinda chilly, but really really sunny.
They tried to get Macy to join the band but I don't think they've convinced her quite yet.
From all the sun and pure excitement, Macy was pretty tired at the end of the band performances.

Windmills!

Monday Kyle had the day off of school and we were trying to think of something to do- that didn't cost any money. I had heard at church the day before that they were having an open house at the Wind Farm to check them out and have lunch. We decided we didn't have anything else to do, so we went! It was actually pretty cool! They had donuts and juice for breakfast (FREE!) and they handed out these goody bags with a lot of information about the turbins and such. The bag was actually pretty cool, they are all about going green so it wasn't plastic bags, it was a heavy duty fabric bag. They also had a balloon clown there making windmills... I think they just made a flower and left out one petal, but we'll call it a windmill! :)
Kyle and Macy with our Windmills

They had buses there from the Holbrook School District that took us to the site where the windmills actually are and we got to go inside them! They made Kyle and I wear hardhats, but I guess Macy wasn't important enough to wear one... We couldn't take pictures of the inside, why? I don't know, there wasn't much to them at all. Just a generator looking thing and wires. Did I mention that we stood in line for an hour to go inside of them? Here is a cool picture of the windmills
After the tour they had really good pork bbq sandwiches, super super good! and.. Free!! Perfect way to spend a no-school-Monday.

Macy was wiped out. On the way home she crashed- clinging to her windmill balloon.

New Tricks

Macy has been doing this weird smile thing, she tilts her head back really far so that she can't see you anymore and goes HMMMM... if you hmm at her first, she's tilt the head and hm back. What a crack-up!

I was looking for the remote this morning and found it under Macy's exersaucer, along with a comb, curly ribbon, her puffs, and a toy. All her favorite things.

Last night we heard a happy squeal from her bedroom, she has pulled herself up and was holding onto the crib. She is walking around the couches and coffee table like crazy. Ugh I'm not ready this! :(

The Laundry Monster

Yesterday I learned that having a mobile baby means no more folding laundry on the floor.

Finally Home

For a long time I didn't feel like I had a home. I didn't feel like Buckeye was really "home" anymore but I didn't feel like Holbrook was either. It was kind of Limbo. I was thinking about it today, and for the first time in 3 years I feel like I have a home. Holbrook is my home. Though Holbrook doesn't have much going for it... here's some stuff I bet YOUR home doesn't have :)

The Wigmans, a.k.a. Cozy Cone Hotel! That's right people, did you have a Pixar/Disney film about YOUR town?! Didn't think so.
A DINOSAUR shop. See- Holbrook is like a fairytale already :) hahahhaha

A Mexican Food place on every block. (All 3 of them!)
The Pow Wow Trading Post! Turn right on that street and you're on your way to our place! It may not be very big and it may not have many stores. It may be kind dirty and not very pretty. You might not be able to go anywhere past 10 o'clock because everything is closed and you might have to go 30 miles to Winslow to go to Walmart- but it's where Kyle and I started our family, bought our first home, grew together, made friends, and...it's home.

***I can't believe I just admitted this to the world. Give me a little time to let it sink in that I really do like it here...

Our Summer

I'll be honest, last summer was not busy. We were lazy. Mostly because I was sick and couldn't get off the couch or I would end up losing anything I had eaten. This summer is so the exact opposite of last summer. I wasn't too busy to blog, I hate when people us that excuse (too busy to blog, but not too busy to play on facebook or watch t.v. :), cracks me up every time some one says that). I just didn't. Just to sum up some of the big adventures this summer.

Trip to Buckeye
Dug Sprinkler System
California
Disneyland
Vegas
Trip to Buckeye
DJ Jobs
Scout Camp
12 credits for summer school
Jersey Boys
Ultimate Frisbee
Got a dog
Trip to Buckeye :)
Doctors Appointment
Got rid of a dog
Mom came up for 4th of July
Learning to maintain my Saltwater Tank
Youth Conference
Car shopping
Helped pack a house
Got harassed by a car salesman
Watched Macy grow!
More car shopping

Compared to last summer that consisted of... Dawson's Creek and The OC... I think we did a lot better on our productiveness.

I thought this picture was quite appropriate for a summer post :) Macy trying her FIRST Popsicle. She loved it. She would keep her mouth open so Kyle could rub it on her tongue.

Pretty Baby

Macy is almost 7 months! At her 6th month check-up she weighed in at a whopping 16.14 pounds! I absolutely love these pictures.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Something

I love the Harry Potter series. They are fabulous. There is so much depth in the book and I understand that the movie can- in no way- have all the details that J.K. Rowling put into the books. But at least stick with the main storyline.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was not what the movie was about. It was about Harry Potter and Ron and Hermonie's Relationship. At least that's how I felt. There was such a strong relationship that Harry gained with the Half-Blood Prince that was never discussed. There was also a extremely important relationship between the Half-Blood Prince, which was Snape if you missed the whisper in the movie that declared that, and Lilly that was NEVER talked about. Grimauld Place is now Harry's, which the movie never mentioned. Voldemort's past was touched a bit, but not about his parents or Grandparents. They never talked about WHY the Horcruxes where those Horcruxes... I have NO idea what the next movies are going to be about because all the crucial information in this one was left out.

Maybe if you've never read the book, or it's been a long time since you've read it, you may like it. But there could have been so much more potential. I really feel like this was the only movie that left out really really vital information. It was also the first Harry Potter movie that I left feeling like they missed the entire point of the book.

This article may sound a little harsh but it's really how I feel

Macy's Bedroom!

Macy's room is finally finished! Well- mostly :) We still need to paint her dresser white, but I figured I've waited long enough to post pictures so I just need to do it! My Mom painted the flowers and butterfly's on the wall, and I did the cross stitch. I love it! :)

My Dream

Right now I have a 12 gallon salt-water tank. I have live rock, live sand, 3 damsel fish, and 2 snails. Hopefully soon I will get my tank ready for a clown fish and an anemone and give my damsels back to the store. One day though, this will be my tank. It's it gorgeous and so peaceful?

I've crossed over

It's true, it's now Macy's blog. Oh well, she's much cuter than I am :)
That's my big girl.. holding her bottle!
She was sooo sleepy she fell asleep when rubbing both hers eyes.
