Parent Teacher Conferences

The other day we got to spend doing family Part Teacher Conference. We got a few pics of the family all waiting outside of Macy's classroom. Macy's teacher this year is Mrs. Radzanowski and is a great fit for Macy. She raved all about how great of a reader Macy is and how she is always on task and ready to work. The only thing I mentioned was that she needs to work a little on her handwriting, so we'll work on that at home and at school. She just wants to rush through her work (it's always right) but she needs to slow down and get her handwriting under control. Macy has always been a smartie pants and we didn't expect anything else from her conference. 

London's teacher (Mrs. Ceccarelli) bragged about how great London is at puzzles and getting all her work done quickly. She is always the first one to get projects done so that she can go play with the rest of the toys or puzzles. She's a little quieter in class and prefers to play on her own or with a smaller group of people rather then a big group, but that's okay. Socially and academically she is right where she should be in 4yr old Preschool.

Bentley's teacher (Mrs. Fairbanks) showed us all his work from the beginning of the year and he is really improving on his fine motor skills. I love his preschool since it's really all about coloring, cutting, and just playing. His has lots of friends in school and is very social. 

The kids are all doing great! We are so happy to have such great teachers. One of the things that worried me about Holbrook (just being honest!) is that I didn't get to really choose where our kids went to school. They either get to do public school or home school and home schooling (to me) isn't really an option. I am so happy with what they are learning and how the schools handle situations. Yay Holbrook.

iPhone 6s = Subway!

Kyle loves things that connect to satellites. He even loves getting the newest things that connect to satellites. He has been up for a phone upgrade for a few months now and has been waiting for this baby to be out for purchase. I broke the mans heart when I told him I didn't have the cash the day it came out for him to get a phone. Luckily, with him reffing a few varsity games I was able to surprise him 2 weeks later with his brand spankin' new iPhone 6S. The most exciting part? It's 64 gigs.

 And since he was so excited for his new phone, he said we could get Subway for dinner. Win-Win. Yes, I have mayo on my face- but look how cute this picture is of us? I should not be lazy and edit it out- maybe later. :) We're real life here.

Splash park!

Our little town of Holbrook just put in the funnest little recreational park. It is such a fun place to go to just have some fun with your family. The original idea was to put in a splash pad, which is so fun- but for the most part my kids hate it. They DO love the goofy golfing, the horse shoes, and the shuffle board though! When they are a little older there are batting cages! The best part? It's all free!

Homecoming Week!

Homecoming is a small town pretty much takes up the whole week! The funnest part about Homecoming? Spirit days! It's a little tricky with London and Bentley's school on a different spirit schedule then Macy- but we make it work. We combined their "crazy hair day" and "twin day" the first day. London really really wanted to be twins with Macy and found these two shirts all on her own. She also found Macy the right pants to wear and decided that tennis shoes would be best because they both have those. Macy kept saying "Mom- we don't even do to the same school. No one is even going to know." But London knew- and she was loving it. I'll have to admit- I explained to London why her hair was a little crazy, she just laughed and told London how much she loved. it.

The next day was Macy's PJ day and London and Bentley had mismatch day. London is pro at styling herself- even though it doesn't "match" she still just looks adorable. Macy was a little nervous about how I was going to do her hair for PJ day. "I want it to kind of look like I'm going to bed, but still pretty. I don't wan messy hair." We came up with braided pony tails. Bentley was easy- I just told him to pick some clothes. He did a great job at not matching :)

The biggest most excited part of Homecoming week?! The homecoming parade! I've kind of made it a little tradition that we pick up happy meals and have a little picnic at the park right before the parade. The kids love the whole afternoon. Kyle's choirs didn't do a float this year (all his kids were already on other floats) so he got to enjoy the parade with us. It came in handy too- these two kids got candy from everyone that walked by. They had way too much. I was tired of them constantly asking for candy, so I just gave them their bags a few days later and said "go for it". I'm pretty sure Bentley had 12 suckers in one night. At least it was out of the way though!

The Flour Game

Every Monday night we have Family Home Evening. We sing a song, have a prayer, have a little lesson, play a game, and then have a treat. One of London's favorite games for FHE is the Flour Game. We put a quarter at the bottom of a cup, fill it up with flour, and then flip it over. Then you take turns and slice the flour until someone accidently knocks over the quarter. Whoever loses has to get the quarter out of the flour with their teeth. The girls in our family didn't do too well this particular night. :)

Memorial Day Camping 2015

Labor Day camping this year fell on our little London's 5th birthday. This was a huge camping trip for her- not only did we get to go camping but she got to turn 5 years old! 

 My mom stopped by the party supply place and got a bunch of Doc McStuffins decor for a our own little Doc McLondon. The kids played some party games- Red Rover Red Rover and then we played a little musical chairs and topped up with a cute little Pinata.

 Then it was cake and ice cream time! This girl loves her sweets- she was in heaven.

 As always, we had a blast camping. I love getting out of the hustle of life and just enjoy each other and the family.

Just some random pictures from around the house. I switch this one was in focus, but I love it anyway. 

 When the girls noticed it was raining they ran outside and were so excited to play in it. They wanted to lick the drops but hated when it hit their eyes. They told me "It's like a bath.. but rain!"

 I'm sure I have other pictures on our blog of our kids laying like this in front of the TV. They love to "make beds" by the TV and watch shows. When they are so cute, how do you make them go to bed?!
