Odds and Ends.

Sunday I made chocolate chip cookies and Macy got a hold of one. I tried to take it away and she kept moving her hand, apparently she didn't like that idea, but I don't really like it when someone tries to take my cookies either!
I was going through Macy's clothes today. Taking out the 3-6 month clothes and putting in only 6-9 and some of the smaller 12 month clothes in the dresser. We played dress-up :)

After a long morning I decided we need to get out of the house. We went to the park across the street for Macy's FIRST time in a swing. She loved it.
Macy has jumped on the bandwagon. Her new favorite thing to do is dump the dog food and play in the water, sometimes dumping that too.

A few weeks ago we joined Kyle in the Band Festival. (Notice the empty stands :) Here is Macy waiting for Dad. It was kinda chilly, but really really sunny.
They tried to get Macy to join the band but I don't think they've convinced her quite yet.
From all the sun and pure excitement, Macy was pretty tired at the end of the band performances.

Windmills!

Monday Kyle had the day off of school and we were trying to think of something to do- that didn't cost any money. I had heard at church the day before that they were having an open house at the Wind Farm to check them out and have lunch. We decided we didn't have anything else to do, so we went! It was actually pretty cool! They had donuts and juice for breakfast (FREE!) and they handed out these goody bags with a lot of information about the turbins and such. The bag was actually pretty cool, they are all about going green so it wasn't plastic bags, it was a heavy duty fabric bag. They also had a balloon clown there making windmills... I think they just made a flower and left out one petal, but we'll call it a windmill! :)
Kyle and Macy with our Windmills

They had buses there from the Holbrook School District that took us to the site where the windmills actually are and we got to go inside them! They made Kyle and I wear hardhats, but I guess Macy wasn't important enough to wear one... We couldn't take pictures of the inside, why? I don't know, there wasn't much to them at all. Just a generator looking thing and wires. Did I mention that we stood in line for an hour to go inside of them? Here is a cool picture of the windmills
After the tour they had really good pork bbq sandwiches, super super good! and.. Free!! Perfect way to spend a no-school-Monday.

Macy was wiped out. On the way home she crashed- clinging to her windmill balloon.
